Friday Evening Relaxing Meditation Class

In-person at the Zedshed, Penryn. This class welcomes everyone.

At the end of the week, this deeply nourishing Meditation Class welcomes everyone.

This class offers the opportunity to completely relax in mind and body. Steve Braund and Anna Sadler facilitate an evening of rest and recovery using Tibetan Meditation techniques.

The class will include a meditation practice that involves lying down, observing the body and being guided by a chant in the Indian language of Sanskrit, in which Yoga has been traditionally preserved. These Traditional methods may include a combination of Pranayama (breath work), seated Meditation practice, Zero Resistance Yoga, Dharma teachings and Metta Bhavna (Loving Kindness).

This class is a rare opportunity to connect to the ‘Sound of Silence’. We are so very fortunate to have the guided Virat Dharana audio recordings of renowned Yogi, Dr Kumar who conveys deep silence in every syllable. It is the pure and silent quality of Dr. Kumar’s mind and expertise in chanting that enables the listener to experience such deep peace when practiced.¬†During the practice of a Virat Dharana, the Sanskrit words are often translated into English as one takes attention through each part of the body.¬†

In our lives we often experience stress, fatigue and disharmony. This is experienced at a physical, mental and emotional level leaving us more open to generating negative reactions and experiencing suffering, agitation or anxiety when difficulties arise in day to day life. The brain is an electrochemical organ. Emotional reactions imbalance our mind-body system and deplete the electrons that are in cell membranes throughout the entire body and brain. These Traditional Methods reduce the noise of the brain so that we can experience deep tranquillity beyond delta brainwave state. The techniques rejuvenate every cell in the body by bringing complete harmony, integration and balance to the entire system. You will leave feeling fresher, lighter and much more relaxed.

The class provides a rich and fertile ground for Spiritual transformation.

Anna Sadler and Steve Braund deeply respect the rich history and lineages of the Yoga tradition and have been strictly trained in line with the culture of Traditional Ashrams.
